ShadowRaven WoW Code of Conduct

We, as a clan, are growing to a point of critical mass on Uther with over 300 members and more joining every day. With such size come people with many different personalities, so in order to protect the name of ShadowRaven on World of Warcraft, I feel the need to create a standard code of conduct. These rules will continue to make SRC one of the better clans/guilds on Uther and create a standard to which to judge non-SRC members accordingly.

1: No begging for materials or currency is permitted in public chat. Spamming guild chat for materials or currency is not permitted. Violaters that beg in public chat will be kicked from the clan immediately. Violaters that spam-beg in guild chat may be given three warnings or none before being kicked from the guild depending on officer discretion.

2: When in a party, SRC members will excuse themselves in the event that they must leave the party prematurely for any reason with the exceptions of loss of service or disconnect. Leaving the group without notification is inconsiderate and reflects poorly on the clan. Two warnings will be given on reported violations and dismissal from the clan on a third.

3: 'Cyber-harassment' or persistant sexual whispers will not be tolerated. ShadowRaven is a family oriented clan and such conduct is not excusable. Immediate dismissal will result, as well as legal action if an involved party is a minor.

4: Critisism of ShadowRaven in public or guild chat is not permitted. Violaters will be given the opportunity to do so as non-clan members without warning (i.e., kicked).

5: Leaving or removal from the clan will bar any further membership of the player from ShadowRaven. An appeal can be requested by the involved party to the Clan Leader which must receive a majority vote of Clan Officers and a final approval of the Clan Leader to re-admit the player. It should be noted that ShadowRaven does *not* have a revolving door and only appeals with merit will be recognized. The Clan Leader reserves the final say as to whether or not a player will be readmitted.

6: Raid etiquitte will be as follows:
The Raid Leader will be solely responsible for commanding the raid. Any conflicts of ideas, strategies or looting will be resolved through private tells with the Raid Leader and kept out of raid chat, guild chat, general chat and voice chat. The Raid Leader will allow for a private warning to the offending party once and if the player with a dispute does not comply after one warning he or she will be removed from the raid.

Raid Leaders may appoint other party members to lead the raids or group temporarily.
Raid Leaders instructions for the raid or party are expected to be carried out by the members of the raid. Failure to do so may result in the Raid Leader issuing a private warning to the player followed by removal from the raid if the player fails to comply with the instructions of the Raid Leader after that.

Players who are afk or who have been disconnected for longer than 5 minutes may be removed from the raid.

Exceptions: A Raid Leader who is abusive to his fellow raid party members can be asked to transfer leadership of the raid or group to another member by a Clan Officer. Failure to comply may result in a warning of, and followed by removal of the Raid Leader from The Clan.

7: Clan looting procedures are as follows:

Posted group/raid loot rules supercede the following though "ninja" consequences remain in place.

ShadowRaven respects class and professions.

All bind on equip, epic, or legendary items will only be rolled on if they are an upgrade and usable by class and the winner of the roll equips the item immediately. On Bind on Pick Up, epic, or legendary items only players of the appropriate class will be allowed.

Players select Greed (the coin) on Bind on Equip (BoE) items. If the item is an upgrade for a party member and they WILL use it, that player will roll Need.

Players will pass on Bind on Pick Up (BoP) items unless the item is intended for their class or profession in which case the player is expected to roll Need. If all pass then the classes that CAN use the item (for example-casters for cloth/wands /staves, items that, respectively, increase spell or healing effects; Leather for druids/rogues; Plate for warriors and paladins) will select Greed (the coin) if the item is a usable upgrade. In the event that no suitable class is present in the party or no one selects Need of Greed, all party members will roll a random number between 1 and 100. The winner of the roll with the highest number will decide whether the item will disenchanted by a party member or to vendor the item for currency.

Profession plans, formulas, recipes, patterns, ect will only be rolled Need on by the party members that can use them and that have not already learned the pattern/plan. All other players will pass for the pattern/plan.If no one needs the plan then all players will roll random to determine who the plans should go to.

Accidents WILL happen. Group members will roll on an item that they shouldn't at times whether by accident or design. In the event that the person who shouldn't have rolled wins the roll and receives the loot and the loot is NOT transferable, the offending party member will pay restitution to the member(s) of the party whose profession/class could have used the loot and who had rolled on it . "Restitution" being the posted average Auction House value listed on Allakhazam . If the item is BoP then an item of comparable stats that is BoE will be used to determine restitution. There will be a grace period of 2 days for every 100g of value of ninjad item. For example if an item has a listed value of 200g the offending player will be granted 4 days since the event to pay the restitution in full. Items and resources can be used to pay the restitution if agreed apon by all parties involved.

Failure to pay restitution within the grace period will result in dismissal from SRC.

Looting of resources:

Resources are considered loot and will be randomly rolled (1-100)upon by all party members who can use the material to establish an order in which to loot. After the initial resource has been looted, the player with the second highest roll will loot the second available resource and so on.

Solo resource looting:

While playing solo and harvesting materials it is important for the name of the clan that we maintain our reputation. With that said we must also protect ourselves and the clan from those players who are recognized "ninja looters". For that reason we must show courtesy in our solo adventures and respect others. Do not loot a resource that another player* is battling to be able to harvest. If possible and if it is within time constraints, help the player* to prevail in his battle and be able to loot the resource without it being stolen by a third party.

Reported ninja looting by clan members of resources of another player are to pay restitution of the full potential of the resouce (ie.4 pieces of thorium ore, 8 pieces of dense stone and 1 arcane crystal per Rich thorium vein, ect).

*Note: This does NOT apply to players who are recognized as players or guilds identified or recognized as Ninja Looters on the Clan Blacklist or Horde. Ninjas are considered beneath "player" status and not accorded the same considerations as standard players. Any resources that they are battling for are considered open game. All players are considered players of good standing unless listed on the Clan Blacklist.
